Our ½-Day Awareness of First Aid for Mental Health course is delivered by our specialist in-house qualified and experienced course instructors, through a minimum of 4 hours of classroom based theory and practical instruction.
The course is aimed at providing delegates with the skills and knowledge to start a supportive conversation, recognise a range of suspected mental health conditions, and be able to signpost an individual towards appropriate professional help.
The course is suitable for any individual seeking to gain an understanding of mental health or with a requirement to provide advice and practical support for others in the workplace. Delegates are provided with the resources and knowledge to enable them to identify signs of stress and other mental health conditions, with the aim of guiding individuals towards the correct support.
Employers and delegates should note that this training does not provide for the diagnosis or treatment of mental health conditions which should only be carried out by the requisite healthcare professionals.
Goldcross Training runs this course frequently to meet the needs of its delegates and we we are able to provide for in-house courses at your organisations venue should that be preferable.
