Level 6 NVQ Diploma in Construction Site Management – Demolition (6578-05)

This NVQ is for individuals who work or want to work as Construction Site Managers in the Construction sector. It will allow you to learn, develop and practise the skills required for employment and/or career progression in the Construction Site Manager’s sector.

As a National Vocational Qualification it is not a college course where you come to one of our centre’s and sit in a classroom, it has been deliberately designed to be undertaken in a real work environment, hence you should be employed to undertake this qualification. This is a professional, fast track programme where we ascertain your competence via a range of assessment techniques and undertaking professional discussions to extract your knowledge and experience. You remain largely in control with regard to the speed and rate of your progression.

Importantly previously obtained qualifications such as; NEBOSH, IOSH, SMSTS or SSSTS, etc, can all be used be used as supporting evidence where permissable.

This qualification will enable you to demonstrate your skills, knowledge and understanding and to demonstrate your competence in a real workplace environment so that you can work as a Construction Site manager within the construction industry.

On successful completion of (in any order):

1. This NVQ

2. The CITB Site Manager Safety Training Scheme (SMSTS) Course.

3. The CITB Managers and Professionals (MAP) Health, Safety and Environment Test.

4. The 5 Day CCDO Demolition Managers Course (and hold the red 3-year CCDO Managers Card).

5. An Asbestos Awareness Course through NDTG, UKATA, ARCA, or ACAD.

you will be able to apply for the CSCS Managers Card (Black Card).

Candidates may either book the stand alone NVQ Level 6 option below or the full package including requirements 1, 2 & 3 above (requirement 3 can only be provided for at our Hemel Hempstead training centre at this time).

To achieve this NVQ qualification learners earners must achieve a minimum of 179 credits:

• 148 credits from the mandatory units, and
• a minimum of 31 credits from the optional units
