CITB SSP Tutor - Full Time (Remote Course Delivery)

Goldcross HSEQ are seeking a passionate and dedicated health and safety professional to join our tutoring team.

Your role will be to deliver engaging CITB SSP courses, directly and in collaboration with your colleagues, as specified within the Goldcross training schedule.

Whilst these courses will primarily be delivered remotely online, there will on occasion be an opportunity/requirement to travel to classroom venues (within 1.5 hrs of your base location) as a relief tutor or to deliver training at a specified company venue.

Requirement:    Full Time (20 days/month) – Permanent and or Self Employed

Salary:                 circa £45,000 + overtime opportunities + bonus scheme

Description:       Applicants for this role will be highly engaging individuals who have a passion for delivering health and safety courses.  You will be:

  • A professional and confident communicator with the ability to deliver engaging health and safety training to a broad range of individuals.
  • Self-motivated and able to make autonomous decisions in line with company procedures.
  • Comfortable with working and delivering training courses both in the classroom and remotely
  • Willing to travel to other venues (within 1.5hrs of your base location).

Successful applicants will be required to work an average of 2 weekends a month (or as contractually specified) to fit in with client on-site working times.

Primary Duties:

  • Delivering interactive and engaging training courses whilst ensuring performance and quality targets are achieved
  • Providing continued; coaching, support and evaluation for all assigned training delegates
  • Completion of all necessary course documentation in a timely manner
  • Undertaking sufficient CPD to stay up to date with legislative/regulatory changes and industry best practice
  • Engage in moderation and quality checks of training delivery as required by Goldcross

Essential Qualifications:

Candidates will possess one or more of the following qualifications: –

  • NEBOSH Health and Safety Management for Construction (UK)/NEBOSH Construction Certificate
  • NVQ/SVQ Level 6 in Occupational Safety and Health
  • NVQ/SVQ Level 6 in Construction Management
  • Health & Safety degree
  • NEBOSH Diploma in Occupational Safety and Health Part 2, NEBOSH Units A, B, C and D
  • Diploma in Safety Management – Level 6

Desirable Qualifications:

Candidates will additionally possess the following qualifications although training can be provided as necessary for preferred candidates:

  • Award in Education & Training (AET) – previously known as PTLLS or IOSH Train the Trainer
  • CITB SMSTS

Essential Experience (these are mandatory and non-negotiable requirements):

Candidates will have experience in one of the following areas:

  • A minimum three years construction management “muddy boots” experience. The term “muddy boots” requires you to have been a construction site manager (SMSTS qualified) or a senior construction site supervisor (SSSTS qualified) for the three year period.
  • Been employed as a construction company as a Director or Senior Manager for a minimum of three years.

Candidates will be proficient in the use of a computer/laptop and with using Microsoft Office 365 and Microsoft Teams.

Desirable Experience:

Candidates will be experienced in the delivery of; CITB awards, IOSH or NEBOSH training courses.

Professional Membership:

Candidates will be a member of one of the following professional organizations at the indicated level or higher: –

  • Technical member IOSH (TechIOSH)
  • Associate Member IIRSM (AIIRSM)
CITB SSP Tutor - Part Time (Remote Course Delivery)

Salary:                 circa £21,600 – £27,000 + overtime opportunities + bonus scheme

  • A professional and confident communicator with the ability to deliver engaging health and safety training to a broad range of individuals.
  • Self-motivated and able to make autonomous decisions in line with company procedures.

  • Willing to travel to other venues (within 1.5hrs of your base location).

Primarily based in Northampton (Weedon), your role will be to deliver engaging CITB SSP courses, directly and in collaboration with your colleagues, as specified within the Goldcross training schedule.

Whilst these courses will primarily be delivered from a classroom based in Northampton or remotely online, there will on occasion be an opportunity/requirement to travel to other classroom venues (within 1.5 hrs of your base location) as a relief tutor or to deliver training at a specified company venue.
