NEBOSH Courses

NEBOSH (National Examination Board in Occupational Safety and Health) qualifications are globally recognised.  They are often referred to as “the gold standard in health and safety qualifications” with over 220,000 people holding the NEBOSH National General Certificate in Occupational Health and Safety.

The Health & Safety at Work etc. Act 1974 and the Management of Health & Safety at Work Regulations 1999, recognise that any manager who is appointed to control health and safety issues must be ‘suitably and sufficiently trained’.  NEBOSH courses are based around modern-day risk management and provide a means by which individuals with safety responsibilities and organisations of all types, can demonstrate they meet this requirement.

Who Are NEBOSH Qualifications For?

The qualifications are ideal for team leaders, supervisors, managers and anybody with direct health and safety responsibilities. If you are considering a health and safety career then they should almost certainly be your ‘first consideration’ as they will provide you a stepping stone to success.

NEBOSH qualifications are set at Level 3 and above can also lead to membership of IOSH and the IIRSM.

Should you be seeking a role as a health and safety advisor or specialist you will also find that many health and safety job adverts specify a National Examination Board for Occupational Safety and Health (NEBOSH) qualification as a requirement.
