CITB Site Safety Plus (SSP) Courses

Goldcross Training are a dynamic provider of Health and Safety Training courses to the construction Industry. We specialise in providing industry recognised certification and qualification through the Construction Industry Training Board (CITB) Site Safety Plus Scheme.

Who are the CITB?

The formal title for the CITB is the Construction Industry Training Board and one of their key roles is to work with regional bodies and institutions to support training priorities and skills development across the UK.

They are an ‘executive non-departmental body sponsored by the Department for Education and are ultimately accountable to the government/parliment.

Are the CITB the same as the CSCS?

Whilst they have many links through their activities in the construction sector and they work closely together the CITB are not the same organisation as the Construction Skills Certification Scheme (CSCS).  However to obtain a card via the CSCS you must have successfully completed the CITB Health Safety & Environment Test, within the last two years.

Goldcross Training are an accredited independent provider of the CITB HS&E Test and we conduct these tests at our Hemel Hempstead Training centre which can be booked here.

You can undertake any of the above CITB Site Safety Plus Courses at one of our Training Centre’s or via one of our Tutor Led Online Classroom courses.
