Level 2 Construction NVQs
Goldcross Training deliver L2 NVQ qualifications to individuals who are looking to advance their career’s and who are seeking recognition for their skills and experience. The Level 2 construction NVQs we provide are designed to assess occupational competence in the workplace and hence you must be employed to undertake these qualifications.
There are no formal entry requirements to undertake these L2 Construction NVQs and they can be completed without any previous training or qualifications in this subject area.
Once enrolled onto our qualification you will be able to apply for the CSCS Red Experienced Worker CSCS card. This card is issued on a temporary basis and is valid for a 12 month period, by which time you are expected to have completed your NVQ.
Upon successful completion you will be eligible to apply for a CSCS Blue Skilled Workers Card once you have also completed/passed the appropriate level CITB Health, safety and environment (HSE) test (this must be within the last two years).
Our Construction NVQ qualifications are accredited by NOCN. They can be completed remotely using our purposely designed portfolio management system with site visits, where necessary, being arranged as and when required.
All of our Level 2 construction NVQ qualifications are currently CITB grant claimable so don’t forget to provide your CITB number on the booking form or ask your employer for the number you should be using. Further details regarding the CITB Levy and CITB course funding can be found here.
Level 2 NVQ Diploma in Steelfixing (Construction)
The Level 2 NVQ Diploma is aimed at those individuals working within the construction industry. This qualification has been developed for achievement in a real workplace environment which means you need to be employed to undertake this qualification. Whilst there are no formal entry requirements to undertaking this qualification an interest/experience in steelfixing is recommended.
Upon successful completion of this qualification you will be issued with a diploma/certificate which alonside the successful completion of the CITB Health, Safety & Environment test, you will be eligible for a Blue CSCS card.
Level 2 Diploma in Formwork (Formwork Carpenter)
This Level 2 NVQ has been developed for achievement in a real workplace environment which means the learner must be employed to undertake this qualification. This NVQ enables the learner to demonstrate their competence in a real workplace environment as a practising formwork – Shuttering carpenter. Whilst there are no formal entry requirements to undertaking this qualification an interest/experience in carpentry is recommended.
Upon successful completion of this qualification you will be issued with a diploma/certificate which alonside the successful completion of the CITB Health, Safety & Environment test, you will be eligible for a Blue CSCS card.
Level 2 Diploma in Construction and Civil Engineering Operations – Concreting
This Level 2 NVQ has been developed for achievement in a real workplace environment which means the learner must be employed to undertake this qualification. This NVQ enables the learner to demonstrate their competence undertaking concreting operations in a real workplace environment so that they can work in the Construction and Civil Engineering Operations sectors.
Upon successful completion of this qualification you will be issued with a diploma/certificate which alonside the successful completion of the CITB Health, Safety & Environment test, you will be eligible for a Blue CSCS card.
Level 2 Diploma in Diploma in Building Maintenance Multi-trade Repair and Refurbishment Operations – Construction
This Level 2 NVQ has been developed for achievement in a real workplace environment which means the learner must be employed to undertake this qualification. This is a muli-trade NVQ enabling the learner to demonstrate their competence undertaking a variety of operations in a real workplace environment so that they can work in the Construction and Civil Engineering Operations sectors.
Upon successful completion of this qualification you will be issued with a diploma/certificate which alonside the successful completion of the CITB Health, Safety & Environment test, you will be eligible for a Blue CSCS card.
Level 2 Diploma in Wood Occupations (Construction) – Site Carpentry
This Level 2 NVQ has been developed for achievement in a real workplace environment which means the learner must be employed to undertake this qualification. This NVQ enables the learner to demonstrate their competence undertaking operations in a real workplace environment so that they can work in the Construction and Civil Engineering Operations sectors. Whilst there are no formal entry requirements to undertaking this qualification an interest in carpentry is recommended.
Upon successful completion of this qualification you will be issued with a diploma/certificate which alonside the successful completion of the CITB Health, Safety & Environment test, you will be eligible for a Blue CSCS card.
