Does the CITB SSSTS qualify me for the CSC Gold Card?
Passing the CITB SSSTS course does not qualify you for the cscs gold card as it does not provide sufficient recognition of your experience, skills or competence as a site supervisor or skilled worker.
The CITB SSSTS is a two day course designed to ensure that you are able to meet your current legal responsibilities with regard to health, safety, welfare and environmental issues when acting as a supervisor on a construction site.
It is however a defacto standard with employers seeking to ensure that their supervisors have currency in this area and as such most sites will require it as a condition of employment.
